Bevier, John DuBois (Buck) (b. 15 SEP 1917, d. 16 NOV 1975)
Note: He resided in San Mateo County, CA 1940-1941. His occupation was clerk on the voting registration form. In August 1941, he left his bank teller job and joined the Navy. By 1942, he was a petty officer serving as a radio-gunner in a navy scout bomber at Guadalcanal. He was cited by Admiral William F. Halsey for "outstanding performance of duty" during the battle for Guadalcanal in August 1943. He later went to OCS and was commissioned Ensign in the US Navy in 1945.
He graduated from San Mateo Junior College and attended Harvard and Northwestern Universities. He later was associated with the Bank of America.
