Bevier, Richard (b. 12 MAR 1925, d. 27 DEC 1988)
Note: He was a career serviceman. He enlisted 5/13/1943 at Cleveland, Ohio in the US Army. Served as a truck driver, was promoted regularly. By 1950, he was a 2nd Lt. then promoted to 1st Lt. as a supply officer, served until Jan 1, 1957. He then joined the US Air Force Jan 2, 1957 and served until Jun 30, 1973. He was promoted with regularity and served in accounting and finance. His career ended as commander of a missile silo division at Vandenberg AFB, as part of our defense system. He retired at Westover AFB in Massachusetts.
His decorations include: AF Commendation Medal with oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WW 2 Victory Medal, Army Occupation Medal with Germany Clasp, National Defense Service Medal with Oak leaf cluster, US Presidential Unit Citation. Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. Army Good Conduct Medal, USAF Longevity Service Award, Vietnam service Medal with Service Star. Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Citation, Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal unit Citation.
His last SS address was Aurora, Araphoe County, Colorado.
