Bevier, Abram R. (b. 1 JAN 1811, d. 1875)
Note: In 1850, his family resided in Wyoming County, Java Twp., New York. In 1860, he resided with his daughter and son-in-law, George Watson in Menasha Township, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. He was a blacksmith. He was a Private in the 10th Wisconsin Infantry, Company C from 15 Aug 1861 till 30 Jun 1862. Abram was kicked by a horse while acting as regimental blacksmith and eventually died from the injuries sustained. His enlistment papers describe him as having blue eyes, gray hair, 5 ft. 91/2". In 1870, he was apparently living in Clayton City, Winnebago Cty., Wisconsin. His widow Betsey received a government pension as a result of his service. She lived with her grand-daughter, Cora Watson, in Audubon County, Iowa in 1880.

Bevier, Eleanor (Elinor) (b. 7 MAY 1812, d. ?)
Note: Her given name is spelled Eleanora in the census of 1850. The family resided in Spring Town, Crawford County, Pennsylvania at that time with real property worth $750.00. Their occupation was farming. By 1860, they had moved to Rock Creek, Ashtabula County, Ohio and his real property was worth $1,200. He was no longer farming. In 1870, they were back in Spring Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania and he worked and lived on a farm evidently owned by his son Israel. who was now married.

Bevier, William Newton (b. 20 SEP 1826, d. 25 NOV 1905)
Note: In 1860, he and his large family resided in Spring Twp.,Crawford County, PA. In the summer of 1861 he took his family in a wagon with a team of horses to their new life in Ravenna, Muskegon County, Michigan. A letter his wife Betsey wrote about the trip survives in the HHS Archives. In 1870 & 1880, they lived in Barton Township, Newaygo County, Michigan. In 1880, his real estate was valued at $1,500 and personal property $400.

Bevier, Jonathan DuBois Dr. (b. 13 SEP 1815, d. 16 OCT 1884)
Note: Evidently he moved to Orange County, New York where he met and married his wife Sophronia. After several children were born there, he moved to Michigan sometime after 1855. He lived in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan during Census of 1860 and was a physician. He was the First Assistant Surgeon of 17th Michigan Infantry, commissioned 22 Jun 1862. Commissioned as Surgeon 14 Oct 1862. Mustered out & honorably discharged at Delaney House, Washington, DC 3 Jun 1865. A pension was received for his Civil War army service. Moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Listed as a Life Insurance agent in 1870 census. In 1880, he appears in Kinmundy, Marion County, Illinois living with O.N. and Gertrude Tyner.
