DeWitt, Stephen Egbert (b. 17 FEB 1809, d. 28 DEC 1897)
Note: `In the census of 1850 taken in Niles Township, Cayuga County, New York, his name is listed as William E. DeWitt. This has to be the same person as his wife Maria and children are listed with him and his date of birth fits. So, is his name Stephen Egbert or William Egbert DeWitt? It's a tossup. His wife Maria's siblings; Andrew, Magdalene, and Rachel are also in the same household.
