Note: Moved from Shawnee, New York to Cambria, Niagara County, New York. Became a fruit grower. He and his family lived with his father Henry during the census of 1870 in Cambria, Niagara County, New York. Moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1885, but he is buried at Pekin, Niagara County, New York.

Note: He was a carpenter and joiner. Couple resided first in Black Creek and then Cuba, Allegheny County, New York. During the census of 1870, he lived in Cuba Township, Allegheny County, New York and was a wagon maker. In the census of 1880, he is living with his family in Clarksville in Allegheny County, New York. In 1900, he resided in Cattaragus County, Portville City, New York.

Newkirk, Garrett (b. ABT 1791, d. ?)
Note: Dr. Garrett Newkirk, grandson of Garrett Newkirk and Maria Bevier, wrote a history of the Bevier family in a notebook in 1869. This notebook was found by Mattie Newkirk Lile in an old trunk in 1972. It was copied by the hand of Martha Champion Lewis in 1972. It was submitted to the family genealogist, Dale A. BeVier, in April of 1997 by Mrs. Lewis and the notes have been attached by him to the proper persons in the genealogy. When a portion of this work appears in the genealogy, it will be prefaced by [Garrett Newkirk's notebook].

Note: Resided in Woodland, Berry County, Michigan in 1880 and 1900 and was a farmer. In 1910 lived in Calhoun County, Leroy Twp., Michigan. Was probably known as Elias Bevier, but he is also listed as William E. Bevier and Elijah Bevier. He was a stonemason and builder for several projects in Woodland Township, Michigan.
