Note: He was listed as Cornelius W. Bevier in the1870 census. During the census of 1920 and 1930 he lived in Neversink Township, Sullivan County, New York. His occupation was farming. He lived in Hartford, Connecticut with his uncle, John L. Bevier at one time. He is possibly buried on his former farm in Wawarsing on Rte. 55A near Roundout Reservoir. His grave marker was found there by a recent owner [2003] of the house.

Living with them were his two step-children Robert and Ruth Phiffeny, ages 18 and 12, both born in Connecticut. He owned a home valued at $8,000 and his occupation was plumber and tinsmith.
