Note: Article found in The Fort Wayne Sentinel newspaper 10/28/1899: Almeda Bevier of DeKalb County, is defendant in an action for $5,000 damages for slander. The plaintiff is Rev. Charles Moorman of that county. Rev. Mr. Moorman is affiliated with the ministry of the United Brethren Church, and the complaint alleges that Mrs. Bevier was guilty of using language which defamed the clergyman.

Note: His name has also been spelled Dunnabarger. He was a bookkeeper. In 1900, they resided in Fulton County, Gorham Twp., Ohio. In 1910, the family lived in Auburn, Indiana and he was an accountant. Anna S. Bevier lived with them and she was a teacher.

Bevier, Abram Frank Dr. (b. 16 FEB 1861, d. 3 JAN 1937)
Note: He was enumerated in 1900, living with his wife and two children in Grant Township, DeKalb County, Indiana and was a druggist. He lived in Waterloo, Indiana in 1910 &1920 and owned his home free of mortgage. He was a medical doctor like his father. He also owned a drug store. He was known as Frank in the newspapers of the day. He was elected secretary of the DeKalb County Board of Health in 1907.

Note: During the Clymer Township, Tioga County Directory of 1908 she was listed as a general hardware dealer. Was living with her mother, Roxy A., in Tioga County, Pennsylvania in 1910, and later with her mother, in Seminole County, Florida in 1920. Her obit stated she was a telegraph operator at the B & S Station in Westfield, PA in 1894. Alta also had a large truck farm in Sanford, Florida.

Note: He lived in Herkimer, New York and also in East Hartford, Connecticut in 1920. He was employed for 35 years with International Harvester. He lived in Ellsmere Village, Albany County, New York in 1928-1930 with his wife and elderly mother. He was a machinery salesman. His obit indicates he left no known survivors! There is a possibility that his mother was, Roxy A. Clark, his father's first wife! At the time of his death, his residence was Olean, Cattaraugus County, New York.

Note: His draft registration 1917-1918 was completed in Manhattan, New York City. During the census of 1920 and earlier he was living with his wife in Manhattan, New York City. He was assistant manager in a firm manufacturing drawing materials and scientific instruments. In 1930, they had moved to Los Angeles, California where he was an insurance broker. He lived in L. A. County 1944-1954.
