His occupation was listed as retail merchant, candy store, evidently owned by himself. Their home was owned free of mortgage. He is buried in Lebanon, Missouri.

In 1930, he lived in Hickory Plain, Prairie County, Arkansas with his wife Carrie. He was a farmer.
