Note: Census of 1900 &1920 states his names as Ernest E. Bevier. Other sources indicate a first name of Edgar. In 1900 they resided in Mills County, Ingraham Twp., Iowa and he was a farmer. In 1910, he was listed as Edward E. Bevier, he resided in Kiowa County, Colorado and he was a homestead farmer. He registered for the WW 1 draft as Ernest Edward Bevier. In 1920, the family resided in Ottumwa Township, Wapello County, Iowa. His occupation was farming and warehouseman. In 1936, he lived in Lincoln, Nebraska. Another source indicates his date of birth was Mar 9, 1879. His SS Death Index listing is as Edwin Bevier.
