Note: Burial record for Seaman Cemetery indicates her name is Effie M. Bevier. Her obit indicates her maiden name was Effie M. Brisbin. She was a graduate of Grand Rapids Normal School and from Western Michigan U. In 1900, she resided with her mother and her two children in Jackson City, Michigan. She taught in the Grand Rapids school system for thirty years, retiring in 1932. Her last six years were spent in the Veenstra Nursing Home in Grand Rapids.

Note: He resided in Jackson, Michigan when he registered for the WW 1 draft. He was a postal carrier at that time. He was a postal department employee in Jackson, Michigan for 31 years. Active in the National Association of Letter Carriers. Michigan death index indicates Mabel Douglas died 15 Nov 1979. In 1910, they resided in Lansing, Michigan and he was a bookkeeper with Michigan Supply. During the census of 1920 they were living in Tarrant County, Fort Worth City, Texas. His occupation was listed as a clerk in a merchandise company.
